Just like people, college campuses have personalities. When you meet people, you typically take some time to get to know them, making sure your personalities are compatible. The campus visit is your opportunity to “get to know” a college campus. You’ll meet students, faculty, and administrators to get an idea about what is important to that institution. This will help you make the best possible decision as you determine the path for your continued education.

- When do your campus tours take place?
Our campus tours generally take place in the mornings, five days a week (M-F), during the regular fall and spring semesters, and we also conduct tours on select Saturdays during this time period.
- How do you sign up for a tour, and how often are your tour dates updated?
We post our tour dates for registration about two months in advance, and you may view and sign up for our currently available tour dates/times by clicking schedule tour above. If you are having difficulty utilizing our tour website, we are also able to take tour reservations over the phone (270-745-2551 or 1-800-495-8463).
- How long does the campus tour last?
Our campus tours that include a bus overview and information session last approximately two hours from start to end. Our Concise Overview Tours last approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
- What can I expect to see during my campus tour?
In addition to an overview of our campus grounds via bus, our student tour guides also lead guests into our student center, the inside of one of our residence halls, an academic building, and our student workout facility.
Viewing of certain facilities and bus overview may be subject to availability due to construction projects and/or routine mechanical maintenance
- What else is included in my campus tour?
In addition to participating in a guided tour of our campus, guests are also invited to participate in an optional information session conducted by one of our Admissions Representatives.
Information sessions are not conducted during Concise Overview Tours and may be subject to availability due to staffing reassignments
- What if I want to speak with someone in a certain academic or athletic program as a part of my tour?
Upon request, we will provide you with the necessary contact information via email for you to arrange an opportunity to meet with a departmental representative in your academic, athletic, or extracurricular interest. Just make sure to indicate your request within the comments section when registering online, or be sure to tell our staff your request if registering over the phone.
- How and when will I receive a confirmation for my tour registration?
An automated email confirmation is sent out daily at around midnight (M-F), and guests that register for one of our campus tours at least six business days in advance will also receive additional tour confirmation materials via mail. Individuals that sign up for a tour outside of this time frame will receive these materials via email.
Online registrations that take place over the weekend may have their automated confirmation emails delayed by up to 48 hours
- Where do I go and where do I park for my scheduled tour?
Specific driving and parking directions are either mailed or emailed to tour guests after their tour registration is confirmed by our office. All tour guests are directed to park in our Alumni Square Garage (ASG), and parking validations will be provided to guests upon signing in for their scheduled tour. Upon request, we can also provide guests with a one-day, Admissions Guest Parking Pass that will allow visitors to park in other designated parking lots on our campus.
Admissions Guest Parking Passes are only distributed upon request to registered tour guests on the day of their scheduled visit
- What should I wear and/or bring for my campus tour?
You may want to bring an umbrella depending on the weather, but you are not required to bring anything in order to participate in our campus tour. We would also recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes since a large portion of our tour is conducted in a walking format.
- What if I need to cancel a tour I already scheduled?
Not a problem; simply email us at email@example.com with your name and date of your original reservation, or you may call us at 270-745-2551.
- What if I want to come and tour on a day that is not available on your tour website?
We offer the flexibility for guests to participate in our Self-Guided and/or Virtual Tour by following the instructions on our tour website. Both formats offer an extensive array of interactive features, and because our campus is open to visitors, this is a great way to explore our campus without having to officially register for one of our campus tours.
- What if the weather is bad on the day of my scheduled tour?
- Do you conduct tours during the summer?
Yes, our campus tour operations do carry over into the summer term (mid-May thru late August), and we offer multiple tour opportunities Monday through Friday during this period.
- Do you offer campus tours during holidays?
Unfortunately, we do not conduct campus tours on days when our university is closed due to observance of a major holiday. For a list of these dates, please navigate to our Academic Calendar website.
- Outside of a campus tour, what other recruitment activities can I participate in?
