In 2023 Julia graduated with a biology major and anthropology minor from SUNY Geneseo. While in college, Julia conducted research on the ecology and population genetics of ant mimicking spiders. Following this project Julia studied green frogs and whether they adjust their calling behavior to avoid masking by traffic noise. At WKU Julia will join the Elephants and Sustainable Agriculture in Kenya (ESAK) project to examine components of the elephant identification network, deterrents to crop raiding, climate smart agriculture, and ecological indicators.
