Coming Home King

The 2024 Coming Home King program will be the week of February 12th with the ceremony being held Thursday, February 15th  during WKU’s home game vs. UTEP. The schedule of events will be as follows:

• Day of Volunteering
  • Saturday, February 10th
  • Barren River Area Safe Space Shop and Share
  • Candidates will sign up for shifts
• TopNet voting will take place for all king candidates
  • Monday, February 12th
• Candidate interviews
  • Tuesday, February 13th 
• Banquet
  • Thursday, February 15th before game
• Game Day
  • Thursday, February 15th
  • The Coming Home King will be announced during halftime at this game

We would love for your organization or department to submit a Coming Home King Candidate.  Click Here for the application; please note that applications are due Monday, January 29th by 4:30pm in the Student Activities Office (DSU 2059).  All submitted applications must be submitted with a $100 entry fee (which pays for [4] banquet tickets, plaques, and other candidate activity costs).

Organizations and residence halls may jointly sponsor a candidate, however, the number of sponsoring organizations/residence halls is capped at two.
