Western Kentucky University  has been designated an official Passport Acceptance Facility by the U.S. Department of State. Students, faculty, staff, and members of the community are now able to apply for a U.S. passport and/or passport card directly through our office.

As a Passport Acceptance Facility, we are authorized to receive your completed application for a U.S. passport and submit the application along with all necessary documentation to Passport Services.  Passport Services will then determine eligibility for a U.S. Passport.  It is important to note that only the U.S. Department of State can make the final decision to issue a passport to an individual.

As part of our services, we are happy to provide the necessary forms required to apply for a U.S. passport, as well as other passport-related forms and field any questions regarding the passport process.  We are also authorized to accept applications for the new U.S. passport card. We also offer on-site passport photo service.

Finally, before using a third-party form filler or a courier service, please read the fine print on that party's website. Many of these sites charge you for "assistance" in filling out the DS-11 form, which is free at travel.state.gov. or charge you for a shipping service you may not be eligible for.
