The McChesney Field Campus, a beautiful 137-acre forest and former homestead and farm bordered by Indian Creek and the Green River, was donated to WKU by the McChesney family to honor their father and former Western Kentucky University faculty member, Field McChesney, Sr. and his wife Lucy Blair McChesney.
The McChesney family articulated their vision that the property become "an integral part of WKU's campus, a live functioning part of the University's teaching mission... We know our father would be most pleased if all that takes place on his land refects the moral and ethical principles he always espoused. Protection and enhancement of the land would be a good starting point. Helping students become better and more responsible citizens should naturally follow."

Who can use the field campus?
Use of the WKU McChesney Field Campus is available through a reservation and review process. In line with the McChesney family vision, our first priority is use by WKU campus groups. We also welcome other groups from the community such as nonprofits, church groups, schools, civic organizations, and businesses. For pricing and reservations, please visit the link below.
