Biography

Biography:

I moved to Kentucky July 2017 from the faraway land of Indianapolis!

I graduated from Indiana University- Bloomington with a Bachelors in General Studies. I changed my major so frequently, I graduated without a specific major but left with four passions: African American and African Diaspora Studies, Sociology, Psychology and Education.

After a year of working in the mental health field, I solidified my calling to be a mental health therapist. I graduated in 2013 with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Ball State University. (You could say I choose my schools based on colors…RED!)

In 2016, I obtained my certificate as a Mind Body Skills Practitioner from the Center for Mind Body Medicine.

I have a background in presenting to corporations on wellness and mental health, working in community mental health settings, working with youth in school settings and as grief counselor for a hospice center, and maintaining a small private practice.

Those who know me best would describe me as quirky, open, accepting, recycling enthusiast, and always looking for a good laugh. I enjoy advocating for social justice and equality for all. I’m an avid runner with a goal to run a half or full marathon in every state; I’m halfway done! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, staying active, traveling, trying new restaurants and food, and meeting new people.
