Anthropology Current Students
Anthropology majors and minors, you are part of a special family. As a small program, students get to know each other well, in classes and through extracurricular activities. And faculty make efforts to get to know anthropology students personally. Besides talking the other students and with faculty, current anthropology students can learn more about the Anthropology Program by browsing our website to learn more about major and minor requirements, anthropology courses, student resources, career opportunities, and other information.
An anthropology major/minor student with questions about the Anthropology Program should contact his/her anthropology academic advisor, who is listed in TopNet. Any current anthropology major/minor, especially those who don't yet have an anthropology academic advisor, also can contact the Director of Anthropology, Dr. Darlene Applegate, with questions or concerns. Send her an email at darlene.applegate@wku.edu, call her at 270-745-5898, or stop by the department office in Fine Arts Center 237.
Applications are now being accepted for the Drs. Du-Powell Scholarship in Anthropology for the 2019-2020 grant cycle. The scholarship provides up to $600 in funding to support student research or study abroad travel. The deadline to submit applications is April 15, 2019.
