WKU Fly Fishing Programs
Welcome to the WKU fly fishing website. Fly fishing is one of my favorite outdoor activities and I am pleased to be involved with offering many instructional programs to our students and community members.
There are currently three primary program areas we offer:
These programs are different in many aspects, but they all have a common goal of helping you enjoy the great lifetime leisure pursuit of fly fishing.

WKU Recreation Administration program will offer a summer fly fishing course in Montana for high school students with the financial assistance from the Cabela’s Outdoor Fund and WKU’s School of Kinesiology, Recreation & Sport (KRS).
We had a great time fly fishing the beautiful waters near Missoula, Montana last fall (2015) and caught some wonderful trout.
We experienced a great community, awesome food, inviting downtown historic district. All around - a good time had by all.
In Fall 2016, WKU will offer a fly fishing class. This class will meet throughout the first bi-term and take a trip to Missoula to fly fish.
Also this fall, we will offer an American Traveler fly fishing trip to Montana in conjuction with the WKU course. We hope you will be able to join us.
Feel free to contact me Dr. Raymond Poff if you have any questions or if you would like to discuss a custom adventure, workshop, or course for you, your family, friends, or company.
