The December issue of The Family Child Care Chronicle closes the year by thanking family child care providers for the work they do each day to support children, families, and communities. It also reminds readers to save March 13 and 14 for the next Annual Conference, planned with support from the Appalachian Early Childhood Network.

The regulation reminder focuses on year end document review and encourages providers to check that records, immunizations, emergency drills, and required forms stay current. It suggests using a binder or filing system, setting phone reminders for expiring documents, logging monthly fire drills and quarterly earthquake, tornado, lockdown, and shelter in place drills, and considering professional development days for state regulation review, training hours, lesson planning, or ALL STARS work.
