WKU Family Child Care Network
The Family Child Care Chronicle: Vol 53. June 2026
- WKU FCCN
- Monday, June 1st, 2026
The June issue of The Family Child Care Chronicle focuses on a summer reset for family child care programs, including time to review program documents, check the learning environment, and contact a local specialist for a walkthrough or environmental observation. It also reminds providers that the training year ends on June 30, with Certified Home staff needing at least 9 training hours and Licensed Home or Facility staff needing at least 15 training hours.
The issue shares that WKU Family Child Care Network still offers by request training and encourages providers to reach out for support. It also includes summer safety reminders, such as updating sunscreen consent forms, keeping sunscreen out of children’s reach, checking outdoor play areas for hazards, reducing burns from hot playground equipment, and following rules about pools and trampolines.
