Set sail for adventure in this world premiere adaptation of a 19th century pirate melodrama written primarily by Victor Séjour, America’s first Black professional playwright. Asra del Mar is the most feared pirate in the Mediterranean, but a web of secrets links her to nobility and rebellion in 16th century Naples. Will she be able to reclaim her birthright and defeat imperial Spain, or will lies from the past destroy her and those she loves?

Finals: The state finals in five classifications will begin at 3:30 p.m. at Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium. Finals tickets are reserved seating at $25, $30 and $35 and will be available at the stadium starting at 8:30 a.m. Saturday.
Semifinals: Six finalists will be chosen from each classification in semifinal competitions on Saturday. Semifinal sites/times are: Class A, Bowling Green High School, 9 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; Class AA, Warren East High School, 10 a.m.-1:45 p.m.; Class AAA, Warren Central High School, 11 a.m.-2:45 p.m.; Class AAAA, Barren County High School, 10:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m.; Class AAAAA, WKU’s Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium, 8:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m. Semifinals tickets are $15 general admission and will be available at each site.
