Matriculation

Graduate student matriculation and policies are described in detail in the Graduate Catalog.  Minimum requirements include submitting the following:

  1. Program of Study (degree-seeking students only) within the first semester (or 12 hours of course work) developed in consultation with and approved by the student's graduate program advisor.  Students who do not enroll in 3 consecutive semesters must reapply for admission and will be required to submit a new Program of Study aligned to the catalog year of their new admission term.
  2. Comprehensive Exam/Capstone Completion (advisor submission on TopNet, degree-seeking students only) by the last day of the academic term attesting to successful completion of the culminating experience for the degree.
  3. Apply for Graduation for each credential and pay the associated fee via TopNet. (Registrar's form and fee)

Students should consult with their faculty advisor throughout their program(s).  Contact the Graduate School (graduate.records@wku.edu, 270-745-2446) if you have questions.

*Students in a teacher certification program should consult the Office of Professional Educator Services regarding certification requirements, 270-745-4300.
