Bio
Elizabeth Alsop received her Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the City University of New York Graduate Center, where she also earned a certificate in Film Studies. She holds a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Brown University. Her primary research interests include 20th-century British and American fiction, especially the modernist novel; narrative theory; and film and television studies. Her essays and reviews have appeared or are forthcoming in College Literature, Italica, Bookforum, The Chronicle of Higher Education, and The New York Times Magazine. Previously, she taught literature and film at Hunter College and Queens College, and served as an Instructional Technologist at New York City College of Technology. Here at WKU, she looks forward to teaching a range of courses in the Film major, as well as classes in modern British Literature, World Literature, and general education.
