Description:
Sherry Hamby taught at St. Andrews University in North Carolina and is now at the University of the South; she is also the founding editor of the American Psychological Association journal Psychology of Violence. Her work has appeared in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Psychology Today, and the Christian Science Monitor, and her most recent book, Battered Women's Protective Strategies: Stronger Than You Know, came out with Oxford University Press last year.
