Ben has worked in education since 2011 in roles like a TRIO Student Support Services tutor and adjunct history instructor at York Technical College in South Carolina.

He enjoys giving students the support he wished for when he was their age. He brings fresh perspective from out-of-state institutions, having earned a B.A. in Political Science at College of Charleston and an M.A. in History at Winthrop University. 

Ben's interests blend creativity and mindfulness. He's a fan of tabletop wargames and roleplaying games, where strategy and storytelling meet. In miniature painting, he turns tiny figures into works of art. Otherwise, you'll find Ben practicing yoga or exploring literature.
