The abstract portal is open for WKU’s 57th Student Scholar Showcase on March 6, 2027, at DSU. Students can submit abstracts by Feb. 5, and faculty, staff, and alumni can volunteer as Session Chairs. Details at wku.edu/showcase.

Eighteen WKU undergraduates, working with faculty mentors, have been named Fall 2026 FUSE award recipients, pursuing original research and creative projects in fields ranging from psychology and physics to political science and the arts.

WKU will host its 56th Annual Student Scholar Showcase on Saturday, April 11, 2026, in the Downing Student Union. The event will feature 254 undergraduate and graduate research and creative projects, including 157 posters and 97 oral presentations.

Dr. Michael Smith Awarded 2025-2026 KY INBRE Student Development Research Award
