Biography

Zach Marcum is an Owensboro, Ky., native who graduated from Lindsey Wilson College with a Bachelor of Arts in History in 2015. During his time at LWC, Zach served as the SGA Chief of Staff, a Resident Assistant and a Student Ambassador. After graduation, he moved to Bowling Green and enrolled in the Graduate School at WKU. While taking courses, Zach began his professional career at WKU as a Residence Hall Director with the Department of Housing and Residence Life. He worked closely with students involved in the Kelly Autism Program in McCormack Hall and eventually WKU Athletics in Hilltopper Hall. He completed a master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education in 2018 and became an Area Coordinator with Housing and Residence Life the same year. Zach joined Philanthropy and Alumni Engagement in September 2021 as the Assistant Director for Alumni Engagement and Philanthropy. In this role, he will advise the Student Alumni Ambassadors and Alumni Leadership Scholars in order to connect current students to alumni and create meaningful lifelong relationships.
