Dr. Jones has been a nurse for 43 years, LPN (1980), ADN (1989), BSN (2003), MSN Ed (2006), and PhD Ed. Tech (2019). She has been a lifelong learner and is currently enrolled in the Post-master’s Family Nurse Practitioner program at WKU. Her nursing work experiences include emergency room, intensive care, home health administration, medical-surgical nursing, geriatric care, stroke rehabilitation, out-patient surgery, post-anesthesia, and well-baby nursery. She is a certified nurse educator and has received the Excellence in Education award from her peers in Kappa Theta (STTI). Dr. Jones coordinates the Medical-surgical I course, Health Promotion course, and the HONORS portion in Health Promotion. She is an instructor in Senior Practicum and Health Assessment lab. She is the current President of the Kentucky League for Nurses, is a member of STTI Honor Society of Nursing, and the Kappa Theta Chapter. Other memberships include Kentucky Nurses Association, American Nurses Association, Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education, and International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning.
