WKU Celebrates the International Year of Caves & Karst

Mammoth Cave, the longest cave system in the world, is practically in Bowling Green's backyard (maybe literally in your own backyard!) This World Unesco Heritage Site has provided incredible applied research opportunities for WKU's Department of Earth, Environmental, and Atmospheric Sciences.

The UIS International Year of Caves and Karst, (IYCK 2021) is a worldwide project to teach everyone about these critically important and widespread natural resources. Join us, in partnership with the Department of Earth, Environmental, and Atmospheric Sciences as we celebrate IYCK at WKU!
