Biography

Dr. Evans spent his childhood growing up in Portland, TN.  After graduating from Portland High School, he matriculated through The University of Tennessee receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology.  He continued his education by attending Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN.  While at Meharry, he obtained a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree.  After working in private practice for over five years, Dr. Evans worked with the State of Tennessee as a dentist in the school based sealant program and as a clinical dentist.  He then changed his focus to the educational aspect of the dental field and began his career at Western Kentucky University in the fall of 2009.  In conjunction with teaching in the classroom, Dr. Evans also works in the WKU dental hygiene clinic with the students.

 His current interests of study include forensic dentistry, the harmful effects of certain medications upon the dentition, sports dentistry, and abnormalities of the dentition seen during development.  Dr. Evans is an avid sports fan and enjoys following the Nashville Predators and Tennessee Titans.  He also enjoys listening to music, going to concerts, travelling, camping, and good restaurants.  He currently resides in Bowling Green with his wife Tina.
