Best Expectation Program
The Best Expectation Program (BEP) is an initiative designed to help students improve their academic performance and ultimately graduate from Western Kentucky University. During the program, students will collaborate with team members to identify realistic academic goals, as well as address academic and non-academic concerns. BEP is required for students with an academic standing of Academic Probation (AP) or Academic Committee Approval (AA).

Program Requirements

Students who are taking at least one class at the Bowling Green campus will complete the program requirements below.
Attend an orientation to learn more about the program.
Create and submit an academic success plan.
Participate in 12 weeks of sessions, which include interactive group workshops and
individual meetings.

Students who are taking all their courses online or at a regional campus will complete the program requirements below.
Meet with an academic coach via phone, Zoom, or in person to identify challenges, success strategies, and academic options.
Create and submit an academic success plan.
Complete 6 online modules via Blackboard, which include videos, readings, and activities.
