I am originally from Brandon, MS and currently a second year graduate student in the psychological science program. My research interests are related to motivational constructs in education, particularly the constructs of interest and achievement motivation. I am currently writing my thesis, which is investigating the effect of problem-based learning and a pullout magnet program on interest growth in mathematics across time. I am applying to PhD programs for next fall. In my spare time, I like to read, watch movies, cook, and spend time with my friends.
