Tuition

Tuition for a course taken through the Dual Credit Program is $200. This is a substantial savings as the tuition for WKU courses that are not part of the Dual Credit Program is $1,011 per course. It is important to note that the tuition for the course does not include the cost of textbooks, which varies depending on the course. In addition to the course’s tuition, the student is responsible for the one-time application fee of $40. (Students who receive free or reduced lunch should talk with their guidance counselor about providing documentation to have the WKU application fee waived.)

Tuition Billing and Payment Process

Students will receive an e-bill from WKU for their dual credit course(s). This e-bill will be sent to the student’s university email account. In order to access their WKU email accounts students should set up their TopNet account at www.topnet.wku.edu and then their email account at https://email.wku.edu/. Tutorials for TopNet and WKU’s email can be accessed at www.wku.edu/dualcredit/wku-accounts-tutorial.php.

Payment for dual credit courses should be remitted to WKU by the date indicated on the e-bill. If payment is not received the student will be dropped from the course for college credit, but enrollment in the course for high school credit will not be affected. The Dual Credit Program office will ensure that students are aware of pending drops for nonpayment, but if dropped for non-payment students can be re-registered to the course up until December 1 for the fall semester and May 1 for the spring semester provided that payment in full for the course is sent to WKU’s Dual Credit Program. If a student wishes to drop a dual credit course, it is their responsibility to notify the Dual Credit Program office no later than October 1 for the fall semester or March 1 for the spring semester.
