In high school? Start college early and get a jumpstart on your future! 


Through WKU Dual Credit, tuition cost is only $52 per credit hour!  

The typical 3 hour course costs $156

High school seniors who enroll in a dual credit course with WKU will qualify for a scholarship that covers tuition for up to TWO CLASSES per academic year. Students can use the scholarship for up to NINE HOURS throughout their high school years.

Scholarship Requirements: 

  • Be enrolled in a Kentucky public high school
  • Complete a 30-minute college success counseling session through their high school


Instructors who teach university courses through WKU Dual Credit are either high school teachers or visiting university instructors. Every high school teacher who teaches dual credit courses is approved and credentialed as part-time faculty by his or her respective university department(s). Visiting instructors from the university may be either full-time or part-time faculty members who travel to a high school to teach a course.
