Commencement Information for Faculty


Fall College Special Recognition Ceremonies

When:  Friday, December 6
Where: E.A. Diddle Arena
Parking:  See Directions and Parking

Faculty should be dressed in regalia and will arrive at the time determined and communicated by the dean's office of your respective college. Each college has a specific ceremony. Students will be individually recognized at these ceremonies. 

 

Topper Walk and Commencement Ceremony

When: Thursday, May 8
Where:  Line up outside the Charles Hardcastle Kentucky Building and process to Houchens Industries-L.T. Smith Stadium
Parking: See Directions and Parking

Faculty should be dressed in regalia and should line up together for Topper Walk near the Charles Hardcastle Kentucky Building at 6:00 p.m. The Topper Walk procession will begin at 6:30 p.m. All faculty will process together and will lead the students from the Charles Hardcastle Kentucky Building down the Avenue of Champions and into the stadium. Faculty will be seated together. The ceremony will begin once the graduates have all been seated inside Houchens Industries - L.T. Smith Stadium. The ceremony is expected to last approximately one hour once all graduates have been seated.

Following the Commencement Ceremony, faculty are invited to join the graduates and families at the Big Red Bash and Fireworks on South Lawn. There will be food and entertainment. Storage will be in Houchens Industries - L.T. Smith Stadium. Each faculty member that uses the stadium as a holding area for regalia while they attend Big Red Bash should take their regalia home that evening and return with it the following day for their individual ceremony.
