The awards presented at the Awards Dinner celebrate the creative spirit that is alive and well in the region. The following businesses were recognized:

Geothermal Supply Company was the first company to design and build the polyethylene vault used in the geothermal industry.

HeathCo was recognized for obtaining five new patents and having six additional patents pending related to the outdoor L.E.D. residential motion lighting products.

Hitcents.com has developed a web-based management system, Omniprise, designed to provide customized customer service solutions to data management.

Pure Power Technologies was recognized for expanding their product portfolio from two platforms to six being a leader in the design, development and production of high precision air management and emissions control devices.

Quick Fuel Technology produces carburetors that operate with E-85 fuel, a cleaner-burning, low-emissions fuel, and has started offering E-85 calibrated carburetors for drag race, circle track and street applications.

Free Kentucky Academy of Sciences (KAS) Annual Memberships

WKU faculty, staff, and students interested in joining KAS can do so now at no charge. Western Kentucky University is a 2012 Enhanced KAS Affiliate that offers free individual membership to its faculty, staff and students.
