WKU professor invited to speak at microbiology conference

Dr. Rodney King, Professor of Biology at WKU, has been invited to speak at a workshop titled Getting Started as a Microbiologist at a Primarily Undergraduate Institution (PUI) at the American Society for Microbiology General Meeting May 17-20 in Boston.

The workshop speakers will address the challenges of beginning a career teaching and doing research with undergraduates.

Dr. King also was invited to speak at the ASM Branch Officers Forum about the activities of WKU Student Branch of the ASM (the WKU MicroClub).

The American Society for Microbiology is the oldest and largest single life sciences organization in the world representing researchers, educators, clinicians and industry professionals engaged in all disciplines of the microbiological sciences.
