The 14th annual Kentucky Bluegrass LEGO Robotics Competition will be held Feb. 22 at Drakes Creek Middle School.

WKU Engineering faculty and staff, with support from the Tau Beta Pi student Engineering Honors Society, will conduct the 14th annual Kentucky Bluegrass LEGO Robotics Competition on Feb. 22 at Drakes Creek Middle School.

For the 2014 competition, elementary and middle school teams must build autonomous robots from LEGO Mindstorm kits to navigate through two different tracks — an autonomous driving course to complete as quickly and accurately as possible and play a game of LEGO Mindstorm Minecraft.  Teams will compete in either the EIT, “Engineer-in-Training,” division for elementary school teams, or the PE,  “Professional Engineers,” division for middle school and more experienced teams.

The competition will start at 9 a.m.; the public is welcome.
