Thesis Deadlines


The thesis must be approved by the thesis committee prior to submission to the reader.

The master’s thesis & specialist project guidelines have been revised. The new guidelines are available on the Graduate School webpage.

An approved bound copy should be ordered for the department library. Please review the procedure for deposition of theses, dissertations, and specialist projects.


Human Subjects

Does your thesis involve research with humans? If so, it must first be approved by the WKU Office of Research Integrity (Compliance) before collecting data.

Deadlines for Master's Thesis

Fall 2014

Final Defense Deadline Date: October 31, 2014

Reader Deadline: November 7, 2014

Graduate School Deadline: Noon, November 21, 2014

Spring 2015

Final Defense Deadline Date: April 3, 2015

Reader Deadline: April 10, 2015

Graduate School Deadline: Noon, April 24, 2015
