Ann Mead

Vice President for Finance and Administration 

Ms. Ann Mead is Vice President for Finance & Administration and Treasurer at the University. Her primary duties include directing the Division of Finance & Administration and serving as a liaison with the community and state government on financial matters. The division includes: Chief Financial Officer; Budget; Human Resources; and Health Services. Mead has been with the University since 1994, also serving as Director of Budget and Management Information, Director of Institutional Research and as Chief Financial Officer. She spent 10 years as Director of Finance with the Kentucky Council on Higher Education (now the Council on Postsecondary Education) and nine years at the University of Kentucky in the Planning and Budget Office. Mead has a Bachelor's Degree in Commerce from the University of Louisville and a Master's of Business Administration from the University of Kentucky.

The Division of Finance and Administration provides to the WKU community the business and administrative services necessary to fulfill the academic mission of WKU. Finance and Administration strives to:

Departments reporting to the Vice President include Budget, Human Resources, Chief Financial Officer, and WKU Health Services (including the Employee Wellness Program). The Chief Financial Officer oversees the following departments: Accounting & Financial Reporting, Bursar, Grant Accounting, Payroll, Purchasing and Accounts Payable (including Inventory Control and Shipping and Receiving).
