The CRD, with over 275,000 square feet of space located on 27 acres, provides state-of-the-art research facilities as well as access to world-class applied research centers and scientists.
The CRD houses WKU’s Applied Research Centers, the WKU Small Business Development Center, the Central Region ICC (Innovation and Commercialization Center), and the WKU Small Business Accelerator, which is currently home to 17 technology-based businesses.
The CRC encourages and guides technology-based business start-ups and facilitates the growth of existing businesses to the next level. The facilities offer an ideal environment for bringing together scientists and engineers from private companies and from the university for research collaborations and commercialization of technology.
