HOSA Students Compete in Leadership Conference

Eight WKU/AHEC HOSA students competed at the KY State HOSA Leadership Conference March 23-26 in Louisville, KY.
Christine Hanshaw, RN, BSN, CDE, Diabetes Team Leader, Barren River District Health Department spoke to WKU/AHEC HOSA about her career path and shared her passion for being a nurse.
Jason Godsey, Megan Dugard, and Kathleen Smith earned 1st place in Creative Problem Solving
Tegas Sangoi earned 3rd place in Medical Math
Adrienne Beck earned 2nd place in Extemporaneous Health Poster
Candice Coles earned 1st place in Nutrition

Bowling Green, KY – Three faculty members from the WKU College of Health and Human Services have been chosen to serve on the Board of Directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Central Kentucky.
The WKU Institute for Rural Health (IRH) in the College of Health and Human Services (CHHS) received a $50,000 grant from the Good Samaritan Foundation Inc., a ministry of the Kentucky Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.
