Dr. Patricia Todd

Dr. Todd's teaching specialization is marketing management/strategy and international marketing. She previously taught at Cleveland State University and Myers University. She joined the Western Kentucky University Faculty in the fall 2005. Dr. Todd has extensive applied business experience in the chemical industry. Prior to coming to Western, she was the Global Business Manager in the Specialty Chemicals division of The Lubrizol Corporation, at $4 billion specialty chemical company. She was responsible for global profit and loss and has extensive international business experience, including managing relationships in India and China. She has 5 patents in chemistry. Other work activities include experience with Southwest Petro-Chem, no Exxon-Mobil.

Dr. Todd's current research focuses on international expansion strategy and firm's reaction to limitations in resource availability. also of interest is the impact of entrepreneurial orientation and global mindset on the successful internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises. Her publications are in the area of applying population dynamics to international market expansion. Her research has been published in the Journal of Services Marketing, European Management Journal, and the International Marketing Review. Dr. Todd is a member of the American Marketing Association. She has served as a reviewer for the last two years for the Academy of Management proceedings.
