Welcome prospective WKU students! We have organized information with you in mind.

WKU Winter Session welcomes transfer students from other colleges and universities.

Many of our classes and programs are available online to allow you to complete your degree wherever you are!

Getting Started at WKU:

  1. Apply for Admission: You can apply online on TopNet The WKU Admissions Office also has information for prospective transfer students

  2. Obtain an Official Transcript: We need to receive a transcript from each college you have attended. Please request that they be mailed to the Office of Admissions.

Transfer Credit Articulation

Many of our classes are available online to allow you to complete a course wherever you are! WKU is proud to help students of other institutions succeed.

Application Deadline

  • The application deadline for Kentucky, out–of–state, and international students is January 1.


Undergraduate Students

Apply online now! There is an application fee.

Upon receipt of your application for admission, the Office of Admissions will send a transient permission form to be completed by the registrar or dean of your home institution.

When your application is approved, you will be notified of your enrollment status within 7-10 days. Upon acceptance, you will be able to enroll in classes through TopNet by following the course registration instructions.


Graduate Students

WKU Winter Session also offers a variety of graduate courses!

Once you are ready, you will need to apply online and submit the $40 application fee and your undergraduate transcript to:
