Department of Theatre & Dance Staff

Cecelia Hill is the Costume Shop Manager and Instructor for Western Kentucky University. She completed her MFA in Costume Design and Construction at West Virginia University and holds a BFA in Design and Technology from UW-Stevens Point. Cecelia travels to Chautauqua, New York during the summer where she is the Costume Shop Supervisor for Chautauqua Theatre Company.

Previously Cecelia was the Costume Shop Manager and Associate Instructional Specialist for the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point and the Costume Shop Supervisor for SUNY-Purchase College. She has worked with Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, MA as a Draper, and Chautauqua Theatre Company in Chautauqua, NY as a First Hand/Stitcher and Cutter/Draper. Additionally, she ran wardrobe for “This Christmas with Sandy Bainum” at the Lyell B. Clay Concert Theatre in Morgantown, WV as well as dressing Renee Fleming for her performance at Stevens Point’s Theatre @1800 as a part of the Sentry Insurance Invitation to the Arts. Other wardrobe credits include wardrobe assistant for two films with Boettcher/Trinkelin Productions in Milwaukee, WI.

Cecelia loves all things crafty and looks forward to bringing new techniques and materials to the students and productions at WKU.
