Class of 2008
I completed my practicum and internship at the TFCC in 2008. Following that time I have worked in substance use programs, private practice and university counseling centers. I served as Clinical Director of the TFCC from 2017-2024 and am currently serving as a counselor and program manager in private and group practice settings. My time at the TFCC was invaluable and served as a foundation for my profession.
Class of 2017
I gained my M.A.E. in Counseling in 2017 and gained a job in an inpatient hospital as a group therapy practitioner. Once I got my associate license I became an inpatient therapist there, while also picking up hours as a “mobile clinician” at the same hospital, and worked there until 2019 After that I changed over to bereavement counseling at a non-profit for two years.
Throughout the pandemic I realized counseling may not be my calling and I reached out for career consultation and after some time, switched over to an executive administrative role for a year. During that time, I ran into the world of IT, specifically using my people skills to help my co-workers get their jobs done. I found what’s called a “Scrum Master”, essentially project managers that help the teams continuously grow and communicate to get work done efficiently and iteratively better. I earned certification as a scrum master in 2022 and am now employed by at Humana.
Class of 2017
