Welcome, Student Veterans!
Thank you for your service. Transitioning from the military to college is a unique experience for veterans. Western Kentucky Student Veterans Alliance is veteran run student organization that was established to provide military veterans, active duty, reserve, national guard and dependents with the resources, support, and advocacy needed to succeed in higher education here at WKU.
In 2010 Student Veterans Alliance became a local chapter of Student Veterans of America a coalition of student veteran groups across the United States which advocates on behalf of student veterans at the local, state, and national level so that all veterans succeed in higher education, achieve their academic goals, and gain meaningful employment.

Thursday May 17 - Hot Rods Military Appreciation Game
FREE tickets to this Thursday's Military Appreciation night at the Hot-Rods Stadium. *** It's also Thrifty Thursday - Enjoy $2 food and drink specials until the 7th inning! There are a limited amount of tickets so EMAIL ME BACK ASAP! Tickets have been set aside for SVA. Please message me back immediately. SVA will also be sharing an information table at the event with MSS and VUB. If you would like to volunteer to sit at the table please let me know. Thank you.
Wednesday May 30 - SOKY Veterans Council and Student Veteran Alliance Planning Meeting
If you have an interest in connecting with local veteran organizations then I encourage you to attend. It is held at the WKU ALIVE Center at 3:15 - 5:00. Immediately following the Council meeting there will be a planning meeting for the summer and fall events for SVA.
