Dr. Tom Richmond Elected to the Mathematical Association of America Congress (April 2nd, 2017)

Dr. Tom Richmond has been elected to the MAA Congress for a three-year term as the representative of the Kentucky MAA section.

Dr. Molly Dunkum named a CPE Faculty Collaborative Fellow (October 27th, 2015)

Dr. Molly Dunkum was named one of two Faculty Collaborative Fellow by the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. The award is for the 2015-16 and 2016-17 academic years, and carries its own honorarium and travel funds.

2015 Math Symposium Dates Announced (September 25th, 2015)

The 35th Annual Mathematics Symposium will be held November 13th and 14th in Snell Hall on WKU's main campus. This year's keynote speaker is Professor Henry Segerman of Oklahoma State University. Students are encouraged to submit abstracts.

Robin Ayers Receives the 2015 Spirit of Western Award (August 22nd, 2015)

At the 2015 WKU President's Convocation, Robin Ayers was named the recipient of the 14th Spirit of Western Award.

Math Major and Professor Published in the MAA College Mathematics Journal (July 30th, 2015)

Math major and Math Ambassador Kathleen Bell, along with Shania Polson at the University of Alabama, and WKU Professor Tom Richmond, have been published in the prestigious MAA College Mathematics Journal.

Dr. Bruce Kessler Receives the 2014 WKU Spirit of Western Award (August 22nd, 2014)

At the 2014 WKU President's Convocation, Dr. Bruce Kessler, Mathematics Professor and Head of the Mathematics Department, was named the 13th Spirit of Western Award recipient.

Dr. Ferhan Atici Receives the 2015 WKU Women in Science and Engineering Award (August 20th, 2014)

At the Ogden College Opening Meeting, Dr. Ferhan Atici, WKU Mathematics Professor, was named the 2015 WKU Women in Science and Engineering Award recipient for her exemplary research, teaching, and service to the mathematics discipline.

Dr. Tom Richmond Receives the 2014 Kentucky Mathematical Association of America Teaching Award (March 22nd, 2014)

Dr. Tom Richmond, WKU Mathematics Professor, has been named as the 2014 Kentucky MAA Teaching Award recipient, a very prestigious honor among college professors in the state.
