Internship/Independent Study with Kentucky Museum Education

Folk Studies and WKU History students may be eligible to complete internships or independent study with Kentucky Museum Education. To date, two students have participated.

  • The Folk Studies Intern assisted with the completion of a major traveling educational learning exhibit, as well as worked as a Civil War field trip guide.
  • The History Department Independent Study student was an experienced historical reenactor. He assisted in the creation of a variety of Kentucky Historical Native American resources and curriculum, and performed for numerous field trip audiences.

Kentucky Museum Education accepts interns and independent study students based upon museum schedule, availability of projects, and recommendation of applicant by professor or department. For more information contact Christy Spurlock.
