WKU Freshman Guided Pathway


The Freshman Guided Pathway (FGP) is a cohort-based student program designed to support students as they make the transition to WKU. FGP students are enrolled in common coursework the first semester, assigned to a mentor member of the WKU faculty, and participate in regular programming designed to subsidize their academic experience. The Pillars of FGP are:

  • Academic Accountability
    • Integrated Academic Support; Disciplined Completion;
      Expectation of Progression
  • Scholarship Support
    • FGP Earned Scholarship Eligibility
  • Connections to Campus
    • Cohort of Students; Purposeful Programming; Caring Adult
