Where do you currently work?

I am the President & CEO of Historic Savannah Foundation.

Tell me a bit about your career?

I've worked in preservation for 25 years, 18 of which with the National Trust for Historic Preservation—in two regional offices.

How has folklore prepared you for your career?

WKU and Folk Studies prepared me with rigorous academic requirements (reading, writing and critical thinking) and it has served to sensitize me to issues of diversity and creative approaches to doing historic preservation work.
