Steve Goddard
2nd year graduate student
Steve with his family.
Background:
Steve was born in Atlanta, Georgia but grew up in Texas, Arizona, and Illinois too. He went to college at Columbia International University in Columbia, S.C. His major was Bible and my minor was General Studies. Prior to going to college, he spent 4.5 years in the Marine Corps. After college, he spent 16 years working with a Nashville-based non-profit among Kurdish refugees. In that work, he's been able to travel extensively in Europe and the Middle East.
School:
An interest in anthropology led Steve to WKU's Folk Studies program. He loves people
and culture and this program seemed like a great way to apply that academically.
After graduation, if there are time, money, and brain cells still available, I'd like
to do doctoral work in anthropology at the University of Kentucky.
Fun Fact:
"I have been married to my wife, Kim, for 30 years and we have five children (three girls who are 28, 26 and 23 and two boys who are 20 and 11). I couldn't do any of this without them!"
