Kaitlyn Markert

"I knew I wanted to be a folklorist when I began working at Ashland, the Henry Clay Estate, in Lexington, Kentucky." 

 

Educational Highlights:

Kaitlyn earned her B.A. in History from the University of Kentucky. She is a member of the National Honor Society, graduated with honors, and placed 12th in her class.

 

Next at WKU:

Kaitlyn has a passion for historic preservation, so she will pursue this track while earning her M.A. She will also be working with an archivist at Mammoth Cave National Park.

 

On the Inside:

Kaitlyn was born in Louisville, Kentucky. She loves to read, travel, and spend time with friends. She is the youngest of five children. When Kaitlyn was a child, she aspired to be Mrs. Santa Claus.
