Historic Preservation Track, 2nd year graduate student
Ginger is from Northern Virginia, about 2 hours outside of D.C. Her undergrad was in Historic Preservation at the University of Mary Washington. Ginger said, "I walked into UMW ready to combine museums, folklore, and English. I am really interested in heritage tourism. My advisor at UMW told me that the program at WKU was the best and he believed I'd be happiest here."
After graduation Ginger thinks she'd like to go back to the Museum of the Shennendoah where she volunteered this past summer. She is also thinking about the possibility of working with local tourism boards to work on heritage tourism.
Fun and random factoids:
When she was little she wanted to be happy, be a good person, and archaelogist/artist. She was also obsessed with rainbows, which she called bebows.
She would love to be her childhood heroine, Stargirl Caraway, who followed her own path and believed in the power of random acts of kindness.
Though she has no pets in Kentucky, Ginger does have two dogs and a very ornery grey tabby back in Maryland.
In what free time she has, Ginger likes playing with music, art, photography, and being a movie buff. She also fishes and has lots of stories if anyone wants to hear them.
