Barbara Ogbonna

Public track, 2nd year graduate student

 

Background:

Barbara is from Nigeria where she did her undergrad in Nigeria in Mass Communication. She discovered folk studies through her uncle (who is her guardian), a friend of Dr. Njoku. Dr. Njoku who told him more about folk studies and about WKU. Folk studies is not a program offered in Nigeria.

Folk studies appealed to Barbara because of her love for cultural diversity, meeting people and getting to know more about them.

 

Education:

Barbara plans on going for her PhD immediately upon completing her MA at WKU.
