Alessandra Dryer

"When I found out there was a subject that would let me study hide and seek in an academic context, I knew I wanted to be a folklorist."

Educational Highlights:

Alessandra earned her B.A. in Dramatic Writing from New York University. While at NYU, she enjoyed working as a set designer for an Alice in Wonderland Opera.

Next at WKU:

Alessandra's folklore interests include foodways, music, and art. After earning her M.A. at Western, she hopes to return to New York and work for the Folk Art Museum.

On the Inside:

Alessandra is from Washington, D.C. Because she has always lived in urban environments, she has never learned to drive a car. Her roommates are teaching her to drive this semester.
