Our thesis MS degree is designed to be completed in 2-3 years for full time students, depending on the scope and duration of the research project. Our thesis students can apply for graduate teaching assistants, which come with a combination of tuition remission and stipend over the academic year. Graduate assistants typically instruct biology laboratories for classes at the 100-300 level. Non-thesis students are often working on their degree while holding down a job so no strict timeline is suggested or enforced. Our graduate students have a BioGrad club that sponsors educational, social and service learning activities. Officers are elected at the start of each academic year.
