• This workshop will teach the techniques of literary fiction through the writing, analysis, and revision of original work. Students will practice the elements of structure, point of view, characterization, detail and description, and language common to the writing of fiction. The objective of the workshop will be to help students hone their craft while also inviting them to more fully engage in the creative process.
• The workshop is open to advanced undergraduate and graduate creative writing students only. It is available both for college credit (3 credit hours) and for non-credit. There is a prerequisite of at least one workshop in fiction writing.
• Regular summer tuition rates apply for this course.
