WKU Sisterhood Spotlight: Emily Schneller ('92)

Emily Schneller ('92)

Hometown: Gallatin, TN

Current City:  Nashville, TN

When did you attend WKU? 1988 to 1992

What activities were you involved in as a student? Young Republicans, Sigma Kappa (for a little while), interior design, folk studies, and Rugby parties. I loved my roommates who are still dear friends!  Miss the high fashion of boxer shorts with leggings and duck boots!!

Do you have a favorite memory from the Hill? Too many to find just one, but starting college in West Hall and still being friends with some of the ladies I met there is way up there.  Absolute favorite Hill memory is having my boys go to WKU and graduate many years after me.

If you work, what do you do? Retail Real Estate

Tell us about your family:  Two boys - Alex and Austin - who are graduates of WKU in 2019 and 2021.

Do you have any passion projects other than WKU Sisterhood?  I am the Founder of 100 Women Who Care Middle TN, and I am on the Executive Board for the Women's Fund of Middle TN. Anything that allows me to give back or pay things forward is a passion.

Fun fact about yourself: I am trying to hit all 50 states before a certain age (55). I have five to go over the next two years!
