KHSSL, Inc. Appoints a New Executive Director
The Kentucky High School Speech League has announced the selection of the new Executive Director of KHSSL, Inc. Christopher Medina offers more than 15 years of accomplishment-laden leadership in Forensics, academic organizations, as well as business. Beginning his career as an educator Chris directed successful Forensics programs for over ten years. As a result of his coaching efforts, Medina’s students have won multiple championships including NFL Nationals and a WUDC World Championship.
Chris eventually developed an interest in organizational management and parlayed this interest into executive management positions in the Southern California Debate League and the California High School Speech Association.
Chris has demonstrated that creating efficiencies, expanding operations, rapid growth, and providing leadership is not a novelty within his career. In his tenure as President, Chris facilitated the substantial growth in school membership for the Southern California Debate League. In his role as the Vice President of Activities of CHSSA, Chris illustrated that he could direct an organization comprised of almost two hundred schools and manage one of the largest state championship tournaments in the country.
“It is my sincere honor and pleasure to have been selected as the new Executive Director of the Kentucky High School Speech League,” said Medina. “Kentucky has a rich heritage in Forensics and I will be proud to help bring greater opportunities to the students in the Commonwealth.”
Medina went on to note, “Succeeding Ms. Gish's fine work will not be easy, but I am extremely passionate about Forensics and will do everything in my power to help it grow and flourish. I will tirelessly work to help the students in Kentucky continue to distinguish themselves as superior competitors.”
